Kimi no Na wa. Japanese Blu-Ray and DVD to Include English Subtitles

Amazon Japan have updated their listings for the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release of Makoto Shinkai’s Kimi no Na wa. (your name.) anime film, which has revealed that the Japanese release will include Japanese subtitles, English subtitles and Chinese subtitles. The Blu-ray and DVD are scheduled to release in Japan on July 26, with the Blu-ray being region free.

The audio options allow viewers to choose between the original Japanese version of RADWIMPs’ “Zen Zen Zense” or the English versions the group recorded for some of the film’s overseas screenings.

The four versions that Amazon Japan has listed include:

  • The Amazon limited 4K UHD Collector’s edition which will include the film on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and HD Blu-ray, as well as 3 bonus discs (commentary which feature bonuses and story explanations by Shinkai). The edition will also come with a 100 page booklet, stickers, a special digipak, and a part of the script. It will also come with a special A4 sized frame, a pack of postcards, and a bookmark.
  • The Amazon limited Blu-ray special edition that will include the film, as well as 2 bonus disks. It will also come with the 100 page booklet, stickers, a normal digipak, postcards, A4 sized frame and a bookmark.
  • The Amazon edition Blu-ray release will include the film, stickers, postcards, bonus disk and a bookmark.
  • The Amazon edition DVD release will include the film, stickers, postcards, bonus disk and a bookmark.
